Mongolia in sight - Reading to Mongolia in a 1999 Yaris

The journey continues as the lads are currently sat in Barnaul, Russia grabbing some food before heading to Bisyk where they have got a hotel booked. They headed north out of Almaty on Friday and to reach the northern Russian border took 3 days of long drives with awful road conditions.

Crossing into Russia today offered a great break from the pot holed and uneven roads of Kazakhstan. Flat roads, decent services and fuel higher than 80 octanes. What was even more pleasant was to be pulled over today by the police who just wanted to check they were okay and didn't want any sort of bribe.

Car is running well after being looked at by Toyota Almaty. They will be entering Mongolia either tomorrow evening or early on the 16th where the car will be put to test again.
